On Monday, May 13th, 2024 - Lighting Studio In Common With (@incommonwith) opened Quarters (@shopquarters), an experimental retail experience, bar, and community space to the public.

I was fortunate enough to see Quarters transition from daydream to possibility to a tangible, living and breathing store. In November of 2023, Founder Nick Ozemaba (@nozemba) sent me a calendar invite to join the very first site visit when Quarters was a wide-open and raw loft. Over the course of 6 months, once a week, I would visit the future store to photograph the progress and transformation. These 10 slides show a glimpse into what it was like along the way.

There were an incredible amount of hands that touched this store. Thank you to everyone at In Common With, The teams from Starling Architecture (@starlingarchitecture) and Sacks & Sons who account for many many many many more people. And the countless number of freelancers who helped get it done.

The store is now open to the public & I’d encourage you all to go. There is something for everyone and our team is lovely.
